Curro Durbanville High School
Located to the northeast of Durbanville in the Western Cape, the site forms part of the larger urban plan for the Phesantekraal area. The project aimed to create an innovative school with cultural and sports facilities through a collaborative design process involving learners, teachers, and consultants. Inspired by the local landscape, canola fields, and nearby structures, the design emphasises form, texture, and scale. The school’s sustainable and flexible architecture supports interactive learning spaces, making its success reliant on effective user integration.
